Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how TempusRes (“TempusRes”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, discloses and safeguards personal information when you visit our website, request a demo, or use our legal practice-management platform (the “Service”).

TempusRes serves law firms and legal professionals. Much of the data processed in the Service is entered by our customers about their own clients and matters. For that data we act as a processor on behalf of the customer (the controller); for account and website data we act as a controller. See our Data Protection page for how customer data is isolated and secured.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account & profile data — name, work email, firm name, role and login credentials.
  • Demo & contact requests — the name, email, company, phone, practice size and message you submit through our forms.
  • Customer content — the matters, time entries, clients, contacts, invoices and related records your firm enters into the Service.
  • Support communications — messages you send us and their contents.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage & device data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed and actions taken, for security, diagnostics and improving the Service.
  • Cookies — see “Cookies” below.

2. How we use information

  • To provide, operate, secure and improve the Service.
  • To create and manage accounts and authenticate users.
  • To respond to demo requests, enquiries and support.
  • To send service, security and administrative communications.
  • To detect, prevent and address fraud, abuse and technical issues.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

3. Legal bases for processing

Where data-protection law such as the GDPR applies, we rely on: the performance of a contract (to provide the Service); our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Service and respond to enquiries); your consent (where requested, e.g. certain cookies or marketing); and legal obligation (to meet regulatory requirements).

4. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only:

  • With sub-processors that host and support the Service (hosting, storage, email and database providers) — listed on our Data Protection page.
  • With your firm’s administrators, for data within your firm’s tenant.
  • Where required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety and security.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition or asset sale, subject to this Policy.

5. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to secure the Service, and may use limited analytics to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser; disabling necessary cookies may affect how the Service works.

6. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter only as required to meet legal, accounting or reporting obligations. Customer content is retained and deleted according to our customer’s instructions and our agreement with them.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal information, and to data portability. Where we process customer content on a firm’s behalf, we will refer such requests to that firm. To exercise your rights, contact us at info@tempusres.com.

8. Security

We use technical and organisational measures — including per-firm data isolation, encryption in transit, and role-based access control — to protect personal information. See our Data Protection page for detail. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to notify affected parties of incidents as required by law.

9. International transfers

The Service may process and store information in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable law.

10. Children

The Service is intended for business use and is not directed to children under 16.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date; material changes may be communicated to you directly.
